Educació en valors en una societat en crisi de valors Authors Wolfgang Brezinka Abstract The term education in values is new and has become fashionable, but refers to a series of tasks that are a traditional part of the educations system, such as the teaching of moral and civil values, and guidance towards an understanding of the meaning of human life. The term fails to capture this, but it refers to essential educational tasks, and is indicative of the way that todays liberal, secular societies see these tasks, societies in which individualism is encouraged to the detriment of traditional and communal values. The state school only teaches basic democratic values, but this is not enough, since in order to mature as a human being, people need to form emotional ties with the groups that transmit the traditional beliefs that the family lives by. This is achieved within the community itself, by living according to its values, and not through the scientific education provided by a nuetral school system. A person who is individualistic and against any form of social authority is someone who is both nihilistic and rootless. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
