Abstract In this article we present how the treatment of a material that is part of the archive of the Pedagogical Museum of Castellón (MPdC) became the key to start a process of search and research of the pedagogical material of the former Normal School of Lleida and of the Màrius Torres High School, the oldest in the city. This material was used in the exhibition «New Illustrated Atlas» of the MPdC and became a nomad one, leaving the archive of the museum itself and networking with the territory, going further in the framework of a new exhibition project in Lleida: «Notes on the impossibility of the image of the world». To do so, we started from the Foucaultian conception of archive, understood as that legacy that is in continuous, unfinished movement, and that will be continuously feed-back and reinterpreted by the interactions it provokes. In addition, we show how the work with contemporary artistic practices developed within the framework of the project «The museum is a school» of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work of the UdL, allows us to imagine new educational possibilities. Perhaps in this event a hybrid project is being built that allows us to reconceptualize the Pedagogical Museum in the xxi century becoming a driving project of educational innovation in the territory.
