Abstract The teaching-learning processes related to the History of Education as a subject linked to the training of teachers present a promising future. These processes can be seen as the basis for the design and implementation of a broad and innovative set of pedagogical practices. That contributes to forming professionals who are capable of responding to the demands of current regulated education. In this context, the pedagogical museum is a powerful didactic resource to help safeguard, publicize, emphasize, disseminate and interpret educational heritage to Education Sciences students, as their pedagogical legacy. This paper describes, through a case study, a series of resources and didactical activities carried out by the Pedagogical Museum of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Seville. The study concludes that the pedagogical museum is a very useful didactical laboratory for future teachers to understand and appreciate the value of educational historical heritage and to transmit it to new generations.
