Un informe d'urgència de Pere Pujol Casademont sobre el patrimoni gironí (5 d'agost de 1936) Authors Joaquim Nadal i Farreras Abstract After the coup in July 1936, the ensuing social revolution gave power to anti-fascist committees, resulting in the destruction of religious property andprivate collections owned by the conservative elite. The Catalan government (Generalitat) implemented an operation to minimise the effects of this destruction and preserver and save all that was left. A report by Pere Pujol, who was working for Jeroni Martorell in the Generalitat, written on 5 August 1936, presents some initial impressions of uneven value.
