Descobrint el teorema de Pick Authors Mireia Vinyoles Serra Abstract Pick’s theorem is a simple result that allows us to work on geometry, research as well as enjoying Mathematics at a glance. The aimof the activity is tomake students discover that by trying, playing and guessing, they can explore such interesting properties as the formula for calculating the area of simple reticular polygons in our Math classes. Pick’s Theorem is a perfect example of simplicity and beauty allowing everyone to explore Mathematics in a very pleasant way. The activity consists of deducing the Pick’s theorem formula. Firstly, by looking for a pattern using examples and secondly, connecting with systems of equations in order to deduce the formula. Finally,we end up with a small reflection about what a proof is and which path has to be followed in order to find it. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
