Abstract

Contexts help us develop high-level mathematical skills, prioritizingmeanings and relationships.We present some secondary-school level examples that reinforce the idea thatmathematics are interesting, useful and surprising, and also accessible at different levels. These take data from an Iberian settlement, or a piece of ceramics, for example, to perform reconstructions usingmathematical tools.
