(Re)Construcció de les maternitats i de les paternitats després d'un divorci : notes d'un estudi qualitatiu

Abstract

In this paper we discuss some results obtained from a qualitative study about family trajectories followed by men and women who have children before a divorce. First of all we describe qualitative method design and, secondly, we present the main results. This qualitative study used in-depth interviews which were realised in different Spanish metropolitan areas where divorce has higher intensity in Spring 2008. Biographers stories let us understand how maternity and paternity meaning changes during the process of (re)construction new family ties after a divorce in order to identify the permanence or reproduction of gender patterns related with children care before that rupture.
