Forests, forest, trees and tree seen from the geohumanities

Abstract

From an (arbitrary) selection of texts dealing with forests and trees (singular and plural), there is a description and analysis about how these elements of nature have been studied from the geohumanities. The objective is to present a personal discourse about the relation of these natural elements with thoughts, perceptions and ideas of human society, in order to show the construction of the four case studies that appear in the title.
