Una Aproximació a la geografia històrica de Mallorca Authors Onofre Rullan Abstract Mallorca has experienced a major transformation due to the effects of the growth of tourist related activities, making it one of the leading destinations in the international markets. The biggest of the Balearic islands has pure Mediterranean traits although it attracts supra-Mediterranean population, drawing an scheme of formal similarities on a latitudinal axis, and economic relations on a longitudinal axis. This scheme is the product of a long and dense historical evolution that has created the present geographic scenario.
