Abstract

This paper presents a general view of the situation of women in academic geography following the methodology and updating the information presented by Wilbur Zelinsky in 1973 on the strange case of the missing women geographer specially in the Anglo-Saxon academic context. The material presented here is part of a wider analysis of the situation of geography faculty in public universities in Catalonia.
