Abstract

Aminoglycosides were introduced in clinical training in the middle of the forties, in the beginning of the antibiotic era. Those agents act in ribosomes, and are active against a great number of pathogens. Currently different resistance mechanisms are known, being, surely, antibiotics modification and inactivation the most important of all.
