Antibioticoteràpia en la pràctica de la medicina tropical Authors Manel Corachan i Garcia Abstract Antibiotic treatments are something usual in developed countries; however, in developing areas, a great number of those agents used in our areas is economically non-accessible. This fact results in the use of ancient antibiotics, with a limited potency, and usually without the necessary microbiological information. In this chapter it is performed an analysis of the situation in these countries, either with a vision of the agents used in them.
