De l'«Speculum Humanae Salvationis» a l'«Spill» de Jaume Roig: itinerari especular i figural Authors Albert Guillem Hauf i Valls Abstract While the first part of this article tries to give a general outlook of the metonymical process which relates the image of the mirror in religious literature (specially Catalan), to the seminal concept of typology as used by St. Paul and medieval Christian Theology as a practical tool to assimilate Judaism, the second and third parts introduce the Biblia Pauperum and the Speculum Humanae salvationis, in order to show how those two important manuals, mainly ignored by Catalan philologists, offer important clues to a better understanding of Jaume Roig?s, Spill. It is suggested that Roig/Salomon, proposes a meditative and typological reading of the Bible.
