El verb haver-hi: evolució dels usos sintàctics Authors Joan-Rafael Ramos Alfajarín Abstract This study examines the syntactical evolution of the verb haver-hi through a large number of texts written in Catalan from the 13th century till now. Linguistic analysis focuses on three basic features of this verb which have not been studied much from a diachronic perspective: the grammaticalization of the locative clitic hi, the syntactical features of the post-verbal subject and the concordance between the verb and this subject.
