La Història de Catalunya, avui. La llarga edat mitjana Authors Josep M. Salrach Marès Abstract This article analyses the historiographical works produced on medieval history in Catalonia over the last few years. The most outstanding feature is their diversity and complexity as several themes are developed simultaneously. However, six schools or traditions can be identified that cover most of the work carried out by our medieval researchers. These are the schools or lines of research into rural history, taxation and finances, archaeology, food and the crisis of survival, the history of gender or of women and the history of law and of institutions.
