Abstract

The aim of this article is to contextualise Fusters essay «Nosaltres, els valencians» and to explore its political balance by means of another work by the essayist written in 1966. The article attempts to situate Joan Fusters contemporary cultural and political referents from a civic and historical viewpoint and to highlight his criticism of the dependent mentality of the dominant classes from Valencia.
