Abstract

The article analyses the successive stages of the Peninsular War or War of the Spanish Succession in Catalonia between 1705 and 1713. After the maelstrom of the first years there followed a persistent occupation of the territory by the Bourbon troops after the battle of Almansa (1707). The final part analises the consequences that the implementation of the clauses of the Treaty of Utrecht (1713) had for Catalonia.
