Abstract

The aim of this work is to describe the main migratory trends from the isle of Majorca to precise southern Valencian kingdom areas after the expulsion of the Moriscos. The basic lines of this migration the fact that it obeyed authority orders and it had the aim to populate some areas with families and massive settlements allowed the formation of a significant number of communities composed mainly of people from Majorca, so they could mantain their identity as a group.
