Abstract

This paper presents the current state of the art for the study of prehistory in the valley of Sant Mateu. The prehistoric period, essentially recent prehistory due to the lack of Palaeolithic sites, has often been neglected by archaeology professionals, focusing on more recent periods such as the Iberian and Roman with more obvious and often spectacular archaeological remains.
