El dret a Catalunya en el tombant del segle XVIII: Francisco Solanes i El emperador político Authors Neus Ballbé Sans Abstract During the seventeenth century and the first years of the eighteenth century, the role of the Catalan jurists was very relevant in the scope of the Principality, especially due to the lack of concluded Corts between 1599 and 1701. One of its greatest exponents was Francisco Solanes, who, in the context of the War of the Succession, oversaw the maintenance of the Principality's legal system and remained faithful to the two principles that marked his career: the scrupulous observance of the law and fidelity to the prince, which he already had strongly manifested in his political theory, exposed in El emperador político y política de emperadores.
