Jordi Sales Studies on Plato’s Meno

Abstract

Throughout his teaching at the University of Barcelona, Jordi Sales has repeatedly devoted his attention to Plato’s dialogue Meno. From his first book (Coneixement i Situació, where he presented the program that had guided his teaching since 1982), to his last year at the University of Barcelona in 2014 (in the Master’s subject “lectures platòniques”), the Meno is present there very often. The various preserved materials, published in a small part, for the most part unpublished, show the main elements for an interpretation of the dialogue. Below is presented a description of these materials, it was placed in reference to the Platonic text and, finally, the edition of Jordi Sales’s last course on Plato’s Meno.
