L'ús de contextos històrics a l'aula de matemàtiques de secundària. El cas concret de la visualització en la connexió geometria-àlgebra Authors Iolanda Guevara i Casanova Carme Burgués Flamarich Abstract In secondary education, the introduction and use of algebraic language is difficult formost students due to the degree of abstraction involved. This article presents several exercises using right triangles and quadratic equations set for third-year secondary school students (14-15 years old). Themain objective of these activities is that students use reasoning and visual thinking to relate the symbolic language of algebrawith geometry. Thus, they improve in their learning of this new language, as it becomes moremeaningful and related to the acquisition of basic mathematical skills. The examples used come from the history of mathematics. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
