Mates al Carrer, matemàtiques per a tothom Authors Luis Cros Lombarte Abstract Nowadays it is not unusual to hear some tough statements such as these: «a maths teacher?...», «such a bore, man!», as well as «sorry, teacher, I will never be good at maths, I am a bookworm, anyway», or even, «dude, I definitely hate maths, they were such a nightmare, back at school», and, of course, «teacher, what is maths for, anyway?». Such an infamous discourse confirms that Mathematics is perceived by many as being a true thorn in the side. The aim of this paper is to propose a new way to look at Mathematics. We intend to demonstrate that it can be such an interesting field of interest for everyone. Also, they can definitely be quite a fun playground. Let us hope that this will effectively contribute to getting rid of these prejudices against Mathematics which seem to have been so deeply rooted in our society for so many years.
