Els menuts també fem mates Authors Cyntia Riquelme Carvallo Tana Serra Santasusana Abstract This paper presents the work carried out by the Femmatemàtiques (Let’s domath) group of the Federació d’Entitats per a l’Ensenyament de les Matemàtiques a Catalunya (FEEMCAT, Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics in Catalonia) and the Cercle de Mestres (Circle of teachers) of the Associació de Barcelona per a l’Estudi i l’Aprenentatge de les Matemàtiques (ABEAM, Barcelona Association for the Study and Learning of Mathematics). They developed competency-based problems for children aged between four and twelve with the aimof turning them into a resource for teachers. We believe that the role of teachers is to nurture themathematical thinking present in all children, encouraging themto express theirway of doing things, and advance in mathematical reasoning and representation. We present the first challenge or problemyoung learners are faced with, as well as examples of solutions from students of different ages.
