Abstract

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2017 was awarded to Jacques Dubochet, Joachim Frank and Richard Henderson “for developing cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determination of biomolecules in solution”. In this interview, ICREA Prof. Jordi Arbiol, from Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) & Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), discusses the revolutionary aspects of this technique
among other issues related to electron microscopy.
