Abstract

Today, innovation is a top priority in Europe and science plays a key role in this challenge. However, to effectively face this challenge, it is necessary to incorporate new tools and ways of working. This article is an attempt to briefly discuss a complex problem that is gaining an increasing relevance and that will have a high impact in the future development of science.
