La Relació entre política familiar i estructura social: el cas espanyol

Abstract

The article takes the bidirectionality between social policy and social structure as a starting point. Its main objective is to analize how family policy conformes the spheres of social structure and the different types of inequalities. At the same time, we discuss how social structure itself can influence the design of family policy.Thus, the «familiarization» procedures that caracterize Spanish family policy contribute to social duality and reinforce gender inequalities, in both productive and reproducive spheres. On the other hand, demographic, cultural and social changes in social structure impact on family policy and show a deep rift between its contents and social reality.
