Abstract

Mitosporic fungi (Deuteromycetes) from SW Catalonia. A total of 53 phytopathogenic, fungicolous or saprobic species belonging to 36 fungal mitosporic genera are reported as a partial result of the collecting campaign carried out during Gct. 1995-Feb. 1996 within the scope of the Programme on Mycological Biodiversity in Catalonia. A map indicates the prospected sites. The examined specimens were collected on 30 different substrates, represented by living as well as dead or decaying plants and other organic material. A brief description is afforded for all the species included in this paper. Several of them have been rarely or not at all reported from this country. The mitospores and other characteristic structures of 45 species have been line-drawing illustrated, and six colour photographs offer several aspects of the fungi on their substrates. The paper is followed by two indices, one for the fungi included in the study, and the other for the substrates.
