Abstract

The presence of Heliocybe sulcata (Berk.) Redhead & Ginns in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands is reported for the first time. It is a rare species, belonging to the family Gloeophyllaceae (basidiomycetes), which is described both macroscopically and microscopically, with illustrations of the main differential characters. A discussion about its taxonomic position and relationships with neighbouring species is also afforded.
