Abstract

The objectiv of this paper is to present an introduction to the main economic effects of education on agriculture and discuss the way education determines producers behaviour. Creation of knowledge is a consequence, among other factors, of investments of students and teachers time. When this investment is beyond the permanent literary level, has lifetime impacts on individuals. Some of the most important impacts in this study are labor productivity and wage rates, choices of occupation, geographical location and information adquisition. Empirical tests of hypothesis is with data provided by a Delphi study developed by the autors in Sant Joan de les Abadesses (Girona).
