A study was carried out on the presence of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in sludges of sixt wastewater treatment plants in Catalonia (NE Spain). An analytical method of these samples was devised and they were identified using hight resolution gas chromatography (HRGC) with electron capture detector (ECD). This made it possible to determine the presence, type and level of these organic pollutants in this kind of setting. According to the results obtained it is discused the applicability of these sewage sludges in agricultural soils. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
