A clear commitment is made to rehabilitation as a more sustainable way of building, as compared to new construction. Likewise, an analysis is made of the influence that some materials have on climate change, remarking on health and construction aspects. Lastly, the rehabilitation process of the Can Parets farmhouse in Llerona (Vallès Oriental region), where the above-mentioned criteria were applied, is discussed in detail.
