Abstract

Society is a changing, dynamic entity that evolves and adapts to the environment as living beings to different ecosystems. And learning, as a fundamental part of it, must be the engine of change that generates in students the curiosity and pleasure of learning. The periodic table gives us the possibility of entering in stories of wars that changed the world, in literary fictions based on chemical properties, poisonings of characters of music, science or the arts. Based on the periodic table, the history of humanity can be explained. And, in addition, doing it so that students learn to love chemistry.

Carlos Moreno Borrallo, Agora International School Andorra

Es licenciado en Química por la Universidad de Valencia. Profesor de física, química y matemáticas. Jefe del Departamento de Ciencias del Col·legi del Pirineu y Agora International School Andorra. Profesor de la Universidad de Andorra, en el grado de Ciencias de la Educación. Finalista, mención de honor y premiado en Ciencia en Acción. Ponente en diversos congresos y jornadas, como Scientix y TEDxAndorralaVella. Escritor en el blog Ciencia y
tecnología de RTVA y en el especial sobre educación de la revista El Escéptico.

Esther Márquez Fernández, Grupo Pasteur Andorra

Es licenciada en Farmacia por la Universidad de Valencia, donde ha sido profesora y jefa del área de biología. Actualmente es farmacéutica titular
del Grupo Pasteur en Andorra. Finalista, mención de honor y premiada en Ciencia en Acción. Ponente en
diversas jornadas y congresos, como CTM Lleida, el ciclo Aula abierta de la Consejería de Educación de Andorra, Ciencia y Pseudociencia (ARP) y en las
Jornadas de Prevención de Residuos de la Comunidad Económica Europea, y escritora en la revista El Escéptico.
