The Professional Selection Courses in Valencia: Sources, Themes, and Methods Authors Beatriz Cercos Chamorro Universitat de València DOI: 10.2436/20.3009.01.342 Keywords: Vocational Selection Courses, Teacher Training, Second Republic, Valencia Abstract Based on the documentation consulted by the Historical Archive located in the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences of the University of Valencia, we intend to make an approach to what encompasses the professional selection courses between 1931 and 1936 in the city of Valencia. With the compilation of events, we will be able to configure the homogenization and unification of the criteria established for the selection of teachers. We will review reports prepared by the directors of the different centers, in which they highlighted the qualities that the trainees had to determine if they were valid or not, configuration of the different tribunals for the correction of exercises, minutes, correspondence or development of exercises by the candidates themselves, which will serve as a source of inspiration and to understand the context in question.
