Abstract

This article wants to delve into an unknown aspect of the history of the University of Barcelona: the frustrated project of erecting a chair of Preaching in 1695. The idea was to unite the chair of Hebrew and that of Preaching in the person of a Catalan priest and graduate at the Faculty of Sacred Theology, and trained in preaching. Our intention is to contextualize the project and publish an interesting thirty-eight point document on the problems of establishing this chair.
