The Reform of the Universitas magistrorum et scholarium Parisiensium according to Ramon Lull

Abstract

This research study refers to the reform that Ramon Llull ordered in the University of Paris to present his pedagogical knowledge. The Art of Llull is regularly taught in the University of Paris until the beginning f the 14th century, but Llull realises that most of the students fail to learn his quaternary Art. It is only after obtaining his university degree that Llull commits to redesigning his Art to facilitate school learning. Llull’s pedagogical knowledge is more interested in improving the understanding of schoolchildren. Hence Llull devoted his ternary Art to ordering the humanities and general disciplines.
