Abstract

The manuscript Burney 252 (15 th. century) in the British Library, contains a hitherto unrecorded Catalan translation of the Epistolae Senecae ad Paulum et Pauli ad Senecam, apocryphal correspondence documented by St. Jerome. An exhaustive analysis reveals that this version has nothing to do either with the Latin text that accompanies it in the same British codex or, it would appear, with the other Romance translations of the work that have survived (Castilian and Italian).
