L'obra lingüística d'Ildefons Rul·lan Authors Eloi Bellés Abstract Ildefons Ruŀlan is the author of the three linguistic works studied in this paper: Ensayo filológico aplicado a la lengua mallorquina (1884), Apuntes para un vocabulario etimológico mallorquín (1899) and Filología de Calendario (1903). In the first place, this paper describes the life of the author and his main works. In the second place, each work is analysed from a linguistic point of view. In the third place, we look at some specific linguistic aspects of these contributions, such as the reason for using Spanish and not Catalan, the spelling system, Ruŀlan's conception of linguistics or his vision of the unity of the Catalan language.
