O campo semântico dos "verbos de luz" em português Autors/ores Jenny Brumme Resum This article describes the lexical field of light verbs in Portuguese on the basis of a large number of examples attested in the Corpus de Referencia do Portugues Contemporaneo. The semantic analysis focuses on the three minimal pairs brilhar - luzir, reluzir - resplandecer and faiscar - cintilar which in analogy to previous studies in the same field in Romance languages such as French and Spanish are supposed to represent the core of the lexical field of light verbs. The aim is to illustrate the validity of the lexematic method (which also integrates cognitive approaches) describing the distinctive features of the aforementioned verbs. The results can be used in monolingual lexicography, but comparison with similar descriptions in other languages, as well as bilingual lexicography and translation can benefit from them.
