Abstract

This article aims to show the rejection of Leibniz to one of the most controversial historical Cartesian doctrines, the so-called «Doctrine of the Creation of Eternal Truths.» Our intention is to present the refusal of the philosopher from Hanover to the Theory, highlighting that he knows what he rejects. That is, we intend to show that there is more understanding of Descartes and Cartesianism than is usually granted. Key words: Leibniz, Descartes, Spinoza, God, «Doctrine of the Creation of Ethernal Truths», determinism, freedom.
