Tractatus domesticus

Abstract

From all the triad of the practical sciences of Greek Philosophy –ethics, politics and economics– we can only find ethics and politics in the spectrum of the current practical philosophy. The “economic philosophy” hasn’t been established until now, neither as a topic nor as a discipline, as the political philosophy or the ethics of the original triad has. Recover it as a domestic treaty requires define a philosophical approach to “domestic life” and a restoration as a subject of philosophical reflection. Therefore is defended a philosophical reflection on this domestic life is possible, which is different from the cultural, sociological or anthropological approaches. A Tractatus domesticus can help us articulate this still undone reflection at present about a fundamental dimension of human life.
