Abstract

To found the right to resistance from the cosmopolitan point of view implies that it can be deduced from the principles of inapproprability of the Earth and of responsibility for Humanity. This deduction must allow us to justify acts of resistance not only against an illegitimate power or a power that is unjust to some individuals, to a community or even to the entire human race but also against any power -political, economical, financial or of any other nature- that might endanger the preservation of the living world. The cosmopolitan deduction must have the ability to unify the concept of right to resistance throughout its different forms, according to the context in which it is exercised. Nevertheless it is necessary beforehand to define the meaning, the extent and the limits of this right.

Key words: right to resistance, cosmopolitism
