Abstract

There are no ethical or unethical decisions. There are simply decisions. Ethics is one more component in every decision and therefore crucially important. There are no ethical managers of companies and others who are not. There are simply managers who direct well and others who badly. Those who direct well are ethical. If they are not ethical they lose part of reality needed for their managerial ability and therefore they are directing badly. In addition being ethical is not that difficult, it is a question of deciding to be ethical. An ethical manager develops a strategy that makes him always act in an ethically correct manner. An unethical manager also has a strategy but he lacks a vision of part of reality and his strategy is partial and therefore wrong. Some say "ethics is profitable." But it is more that "ethics is good management."
