Economía y política de la privatización local Authors Germà Bel i Queralt Abstract In this conference, based on the book presented by Germà Bel Economía y política de la privatización local, the author provides a broad vision of the effects and causes of privatization at local level. Furthermore, the Spanish case, where the majority of towns have opted for the private production system, is addressed in depth. In conclusion, Germà Bel finds that the optimal result would be to use both types of production: private and public, to make these two techniques complementary in order to improve any inherent weaknesses in each policy.
