Gasòliba i Böhm Josep Jané i Solà Guillem López i Casasnovas Pere Puig i Bastard Abstract This tribute to Eugeni Domingo describes him as a person who worked seriously and rigorously on economic policy. He wielded a great influence during his years at the European Central Bank and his contributions to several projects were of key importance. Domingo was one of the fathers of the single European currency and he understood the risks that are inherent to it. Neither did Eugeni Domingo ever cease to teach at the university, where he had been active for years. His passing represents the loss of a great person, a distinguished economist, an exceptional professor and a devoted Catalan.
