Sobre el Premi Nobel d'Economia 2004 concedit a Kydland i Prescott Authors Francesc Xavier Mena Abstract In this paper Francesc X. Mena gives an overview of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Economy. After providing a brief biographical sketch of the Nobel family and the origin of the Nobel Prize, he discusses Kydlands and Prescotts view of the Crash of 1929 and of that of 1970. The Nobel laureates analysed the relation between the unemployment rate and the time consistency question at macroeconomic and tax levels, criticising Keynestheory.
