La protecció sociosanitària: envelliment i assegurament de la dependència

Abstract

This paper deals with the reform of pension payments. The everyday functioning of the welfare system is being adapted to new needs and, consequently, the path followed in the development of the pension system is necessarily changing over time. The effect of aging and its influence on social debt generate structural changes in the system. According to Guillem López Casasnovas, Spains government is taking control with the aim to manage the distribution of pensions, entrusting public services with the management of dependencies. In a nutshell, the help to be received by the public administrations and private institutions for managing the distribution of pensions is proving to be a very difficult task.
