Abstract

This paper describes the aspects known about the life of the musician Miquel Selma, who was the chapel master of the cathedrals of Sogorb and Barcelona in the 17th century, and provides information on his death and everything connected with it. The notarial documents on the death of Selma are presented, namely, his will, the inventory of his belongings and the auction of these possessions. The documents give a picture of the chapel master's domestic life, of his belongings and of the people who were with him at the time of his death.
