Abstract

Contribution to the knowledge of the coprophilous fungal flora of the Balearic Islands.I. Results from the wet incubation of different animal excrements (cow, ass, pig) and others found on dung in the nature ara presented here. 18 taxa are commented. After the information available to us, 10 of them seem to us new records for the Balearic Islands: Pilobolus crystallinus (F.H. Wigg.) Tode, , Coprinellus congregatus (Bull.) P. Karst., Coprinopsis tuberosa (Quél.) Doveri, Granito & Lunghini, Podospora intestinacea N. Lundq., Sordaria lappae Poetbenia, Cheilymenia dennisii J. Moravec, Cheilymenia pulcherrima (P. Crouan & H. Crouan) Boud., Schizothecium squamulosum (H. Crouan & P. Crouan) N. Lundq., Coprinellus heterosetulosus (Locq. ex Watling) Vilgalys, Hopple & Jacq. Johnson i Coprinopsis pseudonivea (Nender & Uljé) Redhead, Vilgalys & Moncalvo. The following 3 taxa seem to us new records for the mycological flora of the Mallorca island: Cheilymenia granulata (Bull.) J. Moravec, Coprinopsis cordispora (T. Gibbs) Watling & M. J. Richardson and Agrocybe fimicola (Speg.) Singer. Remarks on their ecology, taxonomy and corology are also included.
