Abstract

This paper deals with the process of developing the Gramàtica essencial de la llengua catalana (IEC, 2018) and its distinctive features. This grammar is a reduced version of the Gramàtica de la llengua catalana (IEC, 2016) adapted to an online format (https://geiec.iec.cat). In addition to the general features of the work, special attention is paid to the tables and the online terminological glossary. The presentation of linguistic variation and norms is also described and exemplified.
